Church Project List

There are plenty of ways to serve! Below are projects throughout the church building that need to be completed. Whether you enjoy cleaning, organizing, painting, repairing, or tackling larger projects, there is a place for you to help.

Everyone Can Help!

There are projects for every skill level—from cleaning and organizing to painting, repairs, and construction. Pick an area where you can serve and help us care for the building God has provided for our church family.

Many hands make light work!

Church Office

• Stain the baseboard in Ricky’s office

• Repair the cabinet drawer behind Staci’s desk

• Stain the repaired drawer and reinstall it

• Install T-molding in doorways

• Wipe down all cabinets

• Coat cabinets with Murphy Oil

Front Entrance

• Paint unfinished areas of the walls and ceiling

• Polish or refinish the top of the table

• Shampoo the carpet

Fellowship Hall

• Clean out and organize the Welcome Booth

• Replace water-stained ceiling tiles

• Remove the two square lights near the concrete wall

• Wipe down cabinets in the coffee area

• Polish baseboards

• Touch up baseboard corner blocks with black paint

• Finish painting the doorway and closet area

• Shampoo carpets and hallways

• Wash the two perforated ceiling tiles

Table Room

• Scrub and wash all tables

Kitchen

• Wipe down cabinets

• Organize and label cabinets

• Clean out drawers

• Organize and label drawers

• Clean out and wipe down refrigerator

• Throw away expired/old food

• Clean and defrost freezers

Back Pantry

• Clean out refrigerator and freezer

• Throw away expired/old food

• Move janitorial supplies, trash bags, and cleaning supplies downstairs to the maintenance room across from the nursery

• Scrub and clean table

• Wash towels and tablecloths

• Fold and place linens in labeled plastic tubs

• Repair chairs

• Label shelves so everyone knows where items belong

• Organize items and return them to their proper locations

Water Heater Closet

• Completely clean out closet

• Remove everything except the one shovel that should remain in the closet

Sanctuary

• Repair/tighten loose pews

Library

• Organize bookshelves

• Wipe down bookshelves

• Organize and clean the fireplace/entertainment center

• Replace broken and stained ceiling tiles

• Shampoo carpet

East Hallway

• Polish baseboards

• Touch up corner blocks with black paint

• Replace broken and stained ceiling tiles

Overflow / Youth Room

• Install light in sound booth

• Polish baseboards

• Secure/tack soundproof panels

• Touch up black paint around windows

• Repair broken chairs

Alisha’s Classroom

• Install new black vinyl baseboards after carpet installation

• Check downstairs tool room for the box of vinyl baseboard

• Paint all walls

Hallway by Nursery

• Finish walls and sheetrock

• Tape and mud all walls

• Prime all walls

• Paint all walls

• Install new lights

• Install/finish ceiling

Nursery

• Wash and sanitize all toys

• Shampoo carpets

Commons Area

• Buff floors

• Buffing supplies/equipment are already available

Downstairs Classrooms

• Change lights

• Shampoo carpets

• Organize storage areas

• Label storage areas so items can easily be returned to the correct location

• Caulk windows along the exterior walls of classrooms
