CELEBRATE RECOVERY IS a Biblical and balanced program that helps people overcome their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. It’s the loving power of Jesus in a recovery program. It’s a safe place to share your story and be changed by His story. It currently meets Thursday’s 6:30-8:00pm at Countryside Christian Church 3203 8th Ave Kearney 308-236-5916. We will start meeting on Wednesday's beginning September 7th starting at 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Check us out online at countrysidekearney.com or on Facebook. Childcare is provided for children 18 months to 12 years of age.

Is Celebrate Recovery for me? It is if you have things in your life that hurt others or things that are harming you and you wish you could live without them. Celebrate Recover is for you If you have a painful hurt, habit or hang-up from which you need to be freed. Celebrate Recovery is an opportunity to participate in a group fellowship where love and hope combine with God’s purpose to mend our lives.

How is Celebrate Recovery different from other 12 Step programs? At C/R our Higher Power is Jesus Christ. Our Step Study guidebooks reference the Bible for instruction. Each meeting starts with worship.

Who are the leaders of Celebrate Recovery? The leaders of C/R at Countryside Christian Church are men and women who have gone through similar addictions, hurts, hang-ups, and harmful behaviors and have been trained in Celebrate Recovery leadership principals. The leaders are not counselors and do not offer any professional clinical advice. If professional advice is required, referrals may be made.

What issues does Celebrate Recovery deal with? Alcohol and drug dependency, control issues, anger self-esteem, pornography, depression, co-dependency, broken relationships as well as other issues.

How long does C/R last? Big group is 30-40 minutes and includes worship, teaching, and testimony. Gender specific share groups follow for 40 minutes. A short fellowship time concludes the meeting.

What if I can’t make it every week? You are welcome whenever you can come. As with any endeavor, the more effort you put into Celebrate Recovery, the more benefit you will gain.
Do I have to join the Church to attend? No, C/R is for anyone interested in a Christ centered recovery from life’s hurts, hang-ups, habits, and addictions. We encourage all to participate in a local fellowship.

What do you mean “safe place”? We are diligent about confidentiality & anonymity – what you hear and see at Celebrate Recovery stays here. We are here to listen and share, not to judge or “fix” anyone.

Do I have to share? Absolutely nothing - until you are ready. You can pass anytime you wish in small group time for as long as it takes for you to become comfortable.

Are there rules to follow at Celebrate Recovery meetings? To insure confidentiality and anonymity the following five Guidelines are followed at all times: 1 – Your sharing is focused on your own thoughts and feelings and is limited to 3 to 5 minutes. 2 – There is no cross talk. Each person is free to express feelings without interruption. 3 – We are here to support one another. We will not attempt to “fix” one another. 4 – Anonymity and confidentiality are essential. What is shared in the group stays in the group. 5 – Please no offensive language.
